- How long after installation can I start to enjoy DISH Network sports programming?
- You will be able to start enjoying your new DISH Network programming just minutes after the satellite dish and DISH Network receiver are installed. However, you will need to activate your DISH Network account before you are able to display a signal on your television. To activate your account, you will have to call DISH Network’s Customer Support Center at 1-888-686-2388. You cannot activate your account online.
- Can I set up alerts/reminders or event timers on my DISH Network receiver?
- Yes. Most DISH Network receivers give you the option to set up alerts or reminders so that you don’t miss your favorite shows. You can even set up timers that let you know how long you have been watching TV if you want to keep tabs on your own or your family’s usage.
- Does adding HD or additional programming affect my contract?
- Making programming changes to your contract can affect its length. Adding additional services at their normal cost will usually not extend your contract. If you lower your programming level, you may have to reset your contract or pay an additional fee if you drop below minimum programming levels (as dictated by your initial contract). If you take advantage of certain promotions that are available to current customers, you may have to sign a new contract to get the promotional pricing.
- Do you offer seasonal sports packages?

- Is there a way to add individual channels to my DISH Network package?
- There are some channels that are available on an a la carte basis, but for the most part, channels are only available as part of a package. Many international channels, premium movie channels, and specialty networks are available as additions to DISH Network packages.
- What sort of sports channels does DISH Network offer?

- How much are Pay-Per-View purchases?
- The price of each Pay-Per-View program varies. There is an additional charge for movies in HD. Sports packages have set rates that are determined by the date when you purchase the package. Special events have rates that are set by the event organizers.
- Are there any programming restrictions based on location?
- There are some minor differences between programming in different regions. For example, you will receive local channels and regional sports networks based upon the zip code where you have service installed. Select programming, such as the Big Ten Network, is only available in certain regions. Programming options are also different for Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
