We're ready to install the dish antenna, but our homeowner's association forbids it. Can you help us?
The DISH antenna is 20 inches and complies with the Satellite Consumer Bill of Rights, a regulation released by the FCC on August 6, 1996. This regulation OVERRULES area zoning ordinances and Homeowner Association covenants and restrictions on DISH antennas. This rule was required by Congress in the 1996 Telecommunications Act. Some home owners associations have been fighting to keep restriction rights by threatening court action on tenants with dish antennas. In a few cases the associations argued that a DISH antenna installed on a roof was within the common area. The associations lost this argument. Congress is on your side in this matter. How long is the estimated installation time?
The installer will provide the satellite dish and receiver(s) at the time of installation. There is no equipment to ship other then the VIP 622. Accordingly, installations may be scheduled immediately. Installation dates are available 7 days a week. We will also work
aggressively with you to ensure that your DISH is installed as soon as possible.

How does the installation work, do you install nationwide?

I have a lot of tall trees in the way between my dish antenna and the satellite. What can I do?
Trees can cause interference with the satellite signal. If you cannot find a different location that provides a clear line of sight with the satellite, you may have to trim your trees. In order to help determine if you have a clear line-of-sight to the DISH Network satellites, you can download the azimuth and elevation angles through the following Zip Code Application.

What is DISH warranty?
DISH Network provides a one year parts and labor warranty for all equipment. You may also purchase additional warranty for only $5.99 per month. This warranty covers all DISH network Branded DBS video equipment for most types of failures, including surge damage.
This fee is waived for 9 months if you decide to

What is the difference between DVR and Tivo?
Both have capability of recording live television. However with DISH Network's latest DVR, you have the capability of recording in HIGH DEFINITION and can record over
500 hours of digital television! Tivo can only record up to 140 hours and CANNOT record in HIGH DEF!

Why does a phone line connect to the receiver?
The phone line connected to your receiver(s) ensures your ability to purchase Pay-Per-View movies and events . It is also required so your receiver's may be updated with the latest software. If you do not have a phone line, there will be an additional $5 per month charge per receiver.

How does weather affect my satellite reception?
