25 New Shows on DIY This Year!

Over the course of the next year, DIY Network is scheduled to start airing as many as 25 new shows. Some of these include Rescue Renovation, where DIY Network Handyman of the Year Kayleen McCabe assists homeowners who bit off more than they could chew in their renovation, and I Hate Your House, which follows renovation experts as they redo the worst parts of clients’ homes. Other shows like Garage Mahal, which features major garage renovations, will tackle parts of the home that are often ignored. Ahmed Hassan, host of Yard Crashers, gets a new show, Turf War, on which neighbors will face off to see who can redo their landscaping the best in only two days.

In this economy, people renovating their homes cannot afford to go over budget. The new show Money Hunters will examine the difficulties of staying on budget when renovating. Viewer participation will also be a big push for DIY Network this year with shows like Run My Renovation, which features viewers voting on how to proceed with the renovation on the DIY Network website, www.diynetwork.com. This show builds off the previous success of Blog Cabin which let viewers vote on which features to add to a cabin as it was being built. That show started a new season earlier this month.
