The Pacific Premieres This Sunday on HBO!
This Sunday, the new miniseries about World War II from Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, The Pacific, premieres on HBO. A ten-part series that the follows the epic journeys of three soldiers as they move throughout the Pacific theater. These three soldiers, and hundreds others, will be shown making their way to the shores of Japan, moving from Guadalcanal to Cape Gloucester to Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Hanks and Spielberg also worked on HBO’s other World War II miniseries Band of Brothers, which won Emmy and Golden Globe awards in 2001.
